I often hear people say, "I would love to get involved, but I just don't know how."
Getting involved is easy, staying involved is the hard part. It takes committment, time and money. I can promise that the more you give, the more you get involved, the easier it will be to stay involved.
At the beginning of this journey I had to look for gifts and some days it was harder than others. Now opportunities to give are constantly presenting themselves to me and I have the CHOICE to give or to ignore a need. When ignoring the need becomes difficult I think this is when true change starts to take place inside ourself.
We are selfish people, in today's society I feel it is often about what is best for ME, how can I help ME, how does it affect ME? When we stop thinking about ourselves and start thinking about how we can help others is when we start to make a difference and change the world, one person at a time.

1 Making a Difference ™ shows how easy it is for one person to make a difference through daily giving of gifts. It is my goal to make people feel happy or moved when they read the gift giving stories and ideas and are motivated to give and get involved. I want to stop being focused on self and strive to make serving others needs a priority. I challenge you to do the same. I believe 1 person can make a difference!
An old man walked up a shore littered with thousands of starfish, beached and dying after a storm. A young man was picking them up and flinging them back into the ocean. "Why do you bother?" the old man scofted. "You're not saving enough to make a difference." The young man picked up another starfish and sent it spinning back to the water. "Made a difference to that one," he said.
